What is a Vision plan?

Vision insurance is most commonly used to describe the plans designed to reduce your out-of-pocket costs for routine eye care and prescription eyewear.  Some vision plans offer more benefits and discounts on more intensive procedures such as LASIK and other elective vision correction surgeries.

With vision coverage, you typically will not see a list of benefits such as in a health plan.  Vision insurance typically covers a set benefit amount for specific services that are rendered.  They in most cases also offer discounts and additional benefits when purchasing additional features for your eyewear.
